SHAPE Colorado 2022 State Convention has ended

Greetings SHAPE Colorado Members,

On behalf of SHAPE Colorado, I would like to welcome you to our 2022 Convention. It is exciting to be in person again!!! The SHAPE Colorado Board has worked hard to create a convention line-up that is sure to educate, engage and excite you so you can better serve our profession and students.  

Be sure to stop by and visit the exhibitors; don’t forget to place your bids on the various silent auction items, and fist bump a SHAPE Colorado Board member while you’re at it for all of their hard work.  We also hope you will join us for the Awards Ceremony on Friday, October 7th as we recognize several HPE champions.

Judy Smaic (Central District APE TOY 2021) and Danielle Musser (CO APE TOY 2020) will show you ideas that you can implement in your classroom for truly including students with a variety of abilities. This session is geared toward APEs and general physical education teachers. Judy will be presenting on fun adapted physical education activities for all students and Yoga and Mindfulness for everyone. calming corners, visuals and strategies, as well as adapting soccer and basketball units. Danielle will be showing a variety of ways to include all students in volleyball, golf, and racquet sports at a variety of age and ability levels from day one of a unit plan to the end.
